Dorothy Morelli, Founder & CEO

Dorothy Morelli, M.Ed., is a career educator with more than 30 years of experience in elementary and secondary education. Dorothy leads a network of curriculum and professional-development experts focused on the academic, social, and emotional needs of educators and their students. She co-founded CREATE, a nonprofit organization devoted to evidence-based wellness programs and practices for educators. Earlier in her career, Dorothy worked as an educational coordinator at Vanderbilt University and as a teacher and coach in school systems in South Carolina and Tennessee. She holds a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Western Carolina University and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Middle Tennessee State University.

Denine Goolsby, Advisor

Denine Goolsby, M.Ed., is a career educator with more than 40 years of experience in elementary and middle education. During her career, Denine has worked as a teacher in the classroom, assistant principal, principal, regional superintendent, and academic coach. Most recently, she served as executive director of Humanware for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, a major implementer of evidence-based SEL practices. Denine is an active member of the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa Inc., a professional organization of women in education. She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in educational administration from Kent State University.

Mark Greenberg, Advisor

Dr. Mark Greenberg, Ph.D., is a career educator, researcher, and founding board member of the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) and the Emeritus Bennett Chair of Prevention Research at Penn State University. Mark founded and serves as the chair of CREATE, a nonprofit organization devoted to evidence-based wellness programs and practices for educators. He is a recipient of the American Psychological Association’s Urie Bronfenbrenner Award for Lifetime Contribution to Developmental Psychology in the Service of Science and Society. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Johns Hopkins University, and a master’s degree and Ph.D. from the University of Virginia.
